Don't you hate the movie ratings... Have you ever wanted to watch a sweet movie, but was held back by a small rating sign, and some other snobby teenager?
Let's put everything in reality here... how exactly FAIR is the rating?
Let's take a look at the list of what is in the 18A section:
Nudity: seen that on TV...
Violence: seen that on TV...
Explicit Language: Puh-Leeezz..
Gore: It's some pieces of flesh, and we're all desensitized... what ever...
etc.
Of course, some of you may say... I haven't seen any of that!!

Ya right.
Just because we are teenagers with our hormones at the most excited levels, it does not mean we are going to be overly excited after seeing some exposed penis, breast, or vagina. (*Gasp*, my virgin eyes!) I would understand when the rating is 10-14, because that's when puberty is not reached yet, and innocence level is at a high.
When you are in a school yard, or around a group of teenagers, mention the word violence, see who turns around, see who gives a GAWDDAMN FUCK!
What about explicit language? Please read the sentence above.
Wee... Gore... let's go on the news, and look at some Iraq footages, or some terrorist footages, its either shooting, suicide bombing, killing, kidnapping, blood splatterings, blood spraying, or intenstines flying...
I like the way the adults think. Let's not let children watch some movie with fake deaths, fake sex, fake gore, but let them watch something ten times worse and real, the news.
What kind of people started this rating system?
***Men and women who don't have enough to do, and want the ruin the lives of the next generation, and housewives who are bored of their life, and want to feel important. They join these committees and rate movies only to not have enough time to watch their children, while they go watch "explicit content" or smoke pot.
So, I ask... how exactly fair are the ratings?
This is why I call forth a revolution... The revolution of young minds. Beat down the old corrupt system, and make the idiots who rated these movies to go suck themselves off...
Now my question is, who is with me?

Anyways, I really don't know. Personally, I think the ratings should be there, and the discrepancy between this and TV is something that just, is too bad, I guess. Although, the news doesn't really show too many explicit images...
No, I think that ratings are a function of society's morality. Like... our stances on euthanasia, pornography, and other things, ratings are meant to reflect what we think. Some people want less strict ratings, as a function of what they believe, and some want more. If you believe that ratings should be lowered, that's one vote in favour of lowering ratings, and that's about it.
...uh. touching. yet. i don't 100% agree...xD I mean. if you try, at least kids'll see LESS bad stuff... xD~ lol... i dunno. i believe that age doesn't matter, but rather your maturity level. people who want to see 18A movies probably think they can handle it, if so, that's fine, there's no reason to stop them. However, some of us aren't mature enough yet, and like ratings as a way to ...uh. limit our possibilities of movie choices XD~~~~~~~~~~~~ lol since there's not a better system than ratings, then we'll just have to stick w/ them xD~
