Growing Up
This is going to be my last formal post before I go back to China, hopefully in China, the internet won't be too slow, so I can upload some pictures quickly, and have enough time to write about interesting events.
As for today's post..
Growing up is inevitable. We can't help it, we can't change it, and most importantly, we can't slow it down. Growing up can make a person happy, but it can also make a person sad. That goes without saying, and I'm sure I'm just saying everything you already know.
I don't care if you know or not, because this is my opinion.
Thinking about growing up, I feel excited, and want to do the things that a grown-up wants to do. But, I know in my heart I don't want to grow up. I don't want to face the responsibility. I'll be old quick, and all my friends will drift apart... We can help slow the drifting down, but you all know we won't be spending as much time together. Highschool is going to be over fast, and when that time comes, we can only look back at our times together as we are about to head off to different schools, cities, or even countries.
I asked many grade 12 students what their opinion about graduating is, everyone of them had the same response: "Bittersweet."
What a clichéd statement, but thinking about it, what's a better word to describe it? Our youthfulness is about to end. Observing my parents as they grow older, I start to realize, what will happen to us? Our memories starting to fail us, our physical abilities becomes limited, and we sleep earlier. Everyday is the same: wake up, eat, work, eat, work, go home, rest, sleep. Those of us with a cubicle job will feel even more confined, but what about the people doing physical labour.
Working at Bulk Barn really made me look at the world, looking at the people working there, I cannot help but feel sorry for them. What a sad life to lead. Earning just a bit above minimum wage. If you're the manager, you're better off compared to the workers, but even if you are a manager, you're still not making a lot. The better question is, is that my future job?
A job is not the most important thing, it's your family, but how is your family relationship going to be? When are you going to start having a family? Are you going to have a family? These are some of the things to consider.
What about retirement?
Why worry about this when we haven't even attended University yet? University is the most important step right?
Most of you probably think you have it all planned out... Sorry to say this.. but you don't. How can you have a plan when you don't know your future? Time is passing by more and more quickly, so when we are in our 30 somethings we can only acknowledge the fact that we are entering mid-life.. If time is going to go by quicker and quicker, will it eventually just be a blur? Imagine that.. living a blur..
We are entering the stage of our life where we have to look at life in the big picture. Our life. We are growing up my friends.. we are bound to change.. let's just hope that change can bring us closer in the future..

My Summer
Wow... who knew summer could by so boring... anyways, I decided to follow the K-man's idea and use Opera... Success!
So now I will be alternating between Opera, Firefox, and IE, HURRA!
Anyways, I really have nothing to say right now... not even entertainment, but I do understand it is summer, and many of you are having the same problems as I am (meaning boredom), so I have decided to start with video posts again.

(Btw, is that^ what everyone was talking about?)
